This Is Not a Government Office or Records Custodian. We operate a private reference site. We cannot pull records, certify copies, confirm who lives at an address, or remove anyone from a roll or database. Those requests go to the office that holds the record. For emergencies, dial 911. If you believe you are being stalked or harassed, contact local police.
Where to Request Central Records
Send a Central records request to the office that created or maintains the material. Municipal files and East Baton Rouge Parish records do not follow the same route:
- Ownership or street records: use the Central street directory routes
- Older volumes and past households: consult the Central city directory collections
- One-person searches: follow the Central resident lookup workflow
- Official custodians: review the Central resident records offices
- City files not posted online: contact the City of Central public-records custodian under the Louisiana Public Records Law
East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court: Downtown Main City Hall, 222 St. Louis Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802; 225-389-3950; Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The official contact page routes property, court, copy, and archives questions. For municipal files, the City of Central request page identifies IBTS as the authorized custodian responder.
