Data You Choose to Provide
Names, telephone numbers, and addresses entered into sponsored search boxes go directly to an outside provider. Our servers do not keep copies of those searches. Information sent in a message is used only to answer that message.
Data Logged Automatically
Ordinary hosting logs can capture an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and the time of a request. Reviewing totals helps identify technical problems and understand general use. Cookies or comparable technology may support basic analytics and advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
This limited information supports site operation, error correction, traffic analysis, and content improvements. We do not create individual visitor profiles or sell visitor lists.
Privacy on Outside Services
Links lead to East Baton Rouge Parish and Louisiana portals, libraries, archives, and third-party search services. Each destination applies its own privacy policy to information submitted there. Sponsored results are supplied by an outside company and are governed by that provider's terms.
Limited Data Sharing
Hosting and support providers process logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Data may also be disclosed when valid legal process compels it.
Security and Retention
An encrypted connection protects data in transit, and logs are retained only as long as operational needs require. Because no visitor accounts exist, the site holds no user passwords or account profiles.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Rights to access, correct, or delete personal data depend on the visitor's residence and the law that applies. Louisiana's Data Privacy Act, created by Act 502 of 2026, is scheduled to take effect January 1, 2027. Since little information is retained here, a request will usually concern a contact message or an available log. Submit it through the Contact page. Records held by Central, East Baton Rouge Parish, or Louisiana custodians are governed separately, including by the Louisiana Public Records Law, La. R.S. 44:1 et seq. Requests to correct or protect those records must be directed to the office that holds them.
Updates to This Policy
Revisions will appear on this page. Continued use after a revision is posted constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
